The Rat on a Rat scheme is now being promoted in Blaenau Ffestiniog – Posters are being put up in pubs, shops and so on around the town of Blaenau Ffestiniog to encourage the public to phone Crimestoppers if the know anything about drug dealers in the area. The information will then be passed on to the police – Remember, “Tell us what you know, not who you are”.

 

Crimestoppers at the 2005 Eisteddfod
One of the activities undertaken in North Wales recently by Crimestoppers was the attending of the National Eisteddfod held in the Vaynol Park,nr Caernarfon for the week, 31st July-5th August 2005. The intention was to give out the Crimestoppers bi-lingual book marks purchased through North Wales Community Safety Partnerships donations.Most of the book markers were given to children attending the police tent. They were also provided to various Welsh language book stalls on the site to be given out to anyone purchasing books.
