The AIM

By promoting and supporting Partnership working, to contribute to the improvement of the quality of life in our region, designed to improve crime and disorder reduction and to reduce both crime and the fear of crime
and substance misuse, which detract from our peaceful enjoyment of life.

Terms of Reference of the North Wales Community Safety Chief Officer Group
1
To develop a multi-agency structure to promote crime and disorder reduction throughout the North Wales region.

To agree broad strategic approaches and priorities to guide the actions of the agencies involved in the implementation of crime and disorder reduction activities.

To provide a means of attracting further funding from whatever source to develop the strategy for the benefit of the community.

To encourage the development of co-operation and co-ordination between partnership organisations.

To promote the spread of good practice and to encourage the further development of local initiatives.

To establish monitoring and evaluation systems and receive progress reports.

To provide and direct a Practitioners Group of officers to service the crime and disorder reduction strategy, and to undertake an overview of the work of the North Wales Youth Justice Forum, North Wales Domestic Abuse Forum and the North Wales Substance Misuse Forum.

To represent and promote North Wales at the all Wales Community Safety Chief Officer Group

To represent and promote North Wales with Strategic and Government bodies both at regional and national level.
